English abstract: FIELD: catalytic chemistry, production of carbon carriers for catalysts of benzoic acid hydrogenation into cyclohexancarbonic acid. SUBSTANCE: increase of catalyst activity is achieved by introduction i n method of carbon carriers production of additional operation. Production of carbon carriers is carried out by treatment of carbon black (specific surface 30 - 100 mm2/g) with propane-butane mixture under stirring and temperature of 750 - 1200 C till carbon black mass increase by 150 - 210 % and formation of compacted carbon material. Then propane-butane mixture is substituted with steam and air mixture with mass ratio of air and steam of (0.1 - 0.5) : 1 and treatment is carried out with consumption of 0.5 - 1 kg per 1 kg of compacted carbon material till its mass is decreased by 7 - 60 %. Tests of carbon carrier show, that catalyst productivity increases from 0.01 g to 0.36 g per gram of catalyst in i minute. EFFECT: increased productivity of catalyst. 1 tbl
