Реферат: A qualitative and quantitative analysis of aliphatic, aromatic, and olefinic CH groups of conductive carbon black samples obtained by the furnace method was performed in this work. Using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), it was revealed that aliphatic CH groups are represented predominantly by methylene groups (–CH2–). Aromatic CH groups differ in the number of adjacent hydrogen atoms, which varies from 1 to 4. Using FTIR, it was shown that olefinic CH groups are represented by trans-disubstituted alkenes in conductive carbon black samples and normal alkenes (>C¼CH2) and vinyl groups (–CH¼CH2) in a carbon black sample treated with steam at a temperature of 1173 K. A method for the quantitative determination of olefinic CH groups is proposed in this work. The methodology involves calculating the hydrogen content of olefinic CH groups based on the difference between the total hydrogen content determined by elemental analysis and the hydrogen contained in aliphatic and aromatic CH groups, as well as in oxygen-containing functional groups such as carboxyl and phenolic groups. The hydrogen content of aliphatic and aromatic CH groups was measured using FTIR spectroscopy. Oxygen-containing functional groups were estimated using the Boehm method. The developed methodology was applied to the analysis of conductive carbon black samples. It was found that exposure of the original carbon black to steam leads to a 3.1-fold increase in the hydrogen content of olefinic CH groups. The proportion of hydrogen in olefinic CH groups reaches 69% of the total hydrogen content. This value is comparable to the proportion of hydrogen in olefinic CH groups for the well-known conductive carbon black sample Printex XE-2B (68%).
