Реферат: New bimetallic Pd-Fe catalysts supported on mesoporous Sibunit carbon material were obtained for the process of producing ethylene via selective hydrogenation of acetylene. The formation of active component in a reducing medium was studied in detail. Increasing the catalyst treatment temperature in H2 up to 600 °C leads to the formation of bimetallic iron-palladium particles of a solid Pd(1-x)Fex solution which was found by in situ XRD, XANES, EXAFS, XPS and HR TEM. Palladium atoms preferentially adjoin to iron atoms after alloying, which leads to a change in the electronic state of palladium. Catalytic properties of Pd-Fe/Sibunit sample reduced in H2 at 500 °C are close to the unmodified catalyst (ethylene yield is 51%), since iron and palladium have a weak interaction. Reduction of Pd-Fe catalysts at 600–700 °C leads to increase of selectivity and, despite of lower activity, allows to produce ethylene with a higher yield of 70%. The increase in selectivity is due to the modifying effect of iron on the electronic and geometric properties of palladium in bimetallic particles.
