Abstract:
195Pt and119Sn NMR studies indicate that in the acetone solution of H2PtCl6+SnCl+HCl three consecutive reactions take place. First, H2PtCl6 is rapidly reduced by SnCl2, second, an Sn:Pt=1 platinum-tin complex is formed through the intermediate Sn:Pt=2 complex and, third, Pt(II) complexes are slowly reduced by Sn(II) to Pt(0)
