Abstract:
According to195Pt and119Sn NMR studies, it is shown that in isopropanol solution of H2PtCl6+SnCl2+HCl, successive reactions take place: first, rapid H2PtCl6 reduction involving the participation of both SnCl2 and isopropanol, then the formation of Pt-Sn complexes with Sn(II):Pt(II)=1 and 2 and an intermediate complex with Sn(II):Pt(II)=5. Variations in the composition of the solutions have been quantitatively estimated
