Abstract:
The effect of the pyrolysis time, the concentration and composition of the hydrocarbon gas (propane-butane mixture) on the yield of liquid hydrocarbons as a target product for the production of cellular carbon foam has been studied. It was shown that the yield of liquid products increases linearly with time as the concentration of the hydrocarbon mixture increases but the absence of dilution with an inert gas leads to an increase in the proportion of solid products due to soot formation. The increase in the content of propane in C3-C4 mixture raises the liquid: solid products mass ratio of almost 4 times. The resulting liquid products allowed us to synthesize cellular carbon foam
