                            Abstract:
The dependence of the sorption capacity of cellular carbon foam during removal of oily contaminants from the water surface was investigated. It was shown that this material has an open-cell structure, low bulk density and low sorption capacity in water. This material is characterized by high oil capacity, from 5 to 20.6 grams of oil/ grams of sorbent, depending on the fractional composition. The buoyancy of cellular carbon foam with sorbed oil products lasts more than 30 days
