FIELD: catalytic chemistry, production of carbon carrier for catalyst in particular.
SUBSTANCE: aim is to produce carrier providing increase of activity and mechanical strength of catalyst. Carrier is produced by treatment of carbon black with gas-shaped hydrocarbon mixture and after that - with vapor-gas mixture with following additional treatment of carbon material with gas-shaped hydrocarbons till its mass increase by 1 - 50 %. Activity of catalyst (prepared by impregnation of granulated carbon carrier with solutions mixture of palladiumchlorhydrogen acid and sodium carbonate with following reduction by hydrogen) during hydrogenation of mole C6H6- 78 q-atPd•c•10-2 with mechanical resistance to press-crushing of 194 kg/cm.sq.
EFFECT: method allows to produce carrier providing increase of activity and mechanical strength of catalyst.
