Abstract:
The possibility of modifying hydroxyapatite by silicate ions under conditions similar to physiological ones (extracellular fluid solution prototype) has been investigated. The formation of silicon-structured hydroxyapatite with different degrees of substitution of phosphate groups by silicate ones has been established by means of the methods of chemical and X-ray diffraction analysis, IR Fourier-spectroscopy, and optical microscopy.
